Do you want to be a golden ray of sunshine or everybody else on Monday mornings?
Re-work your habits from the moment you wake up. Better yet, start the night before!
- Start off by having everything ready for the day. Use your calendar and make sure that you are aware and prepared for all of your obligations.
- Get your clothes ironed and pack your bag. You can even make your lunch the night before.
Choices, choices, choices.
The big question: When do you want to get up in the morning? Not everyone is a morning person. It’s okay if you can’t function at 5 a.m.
I like to wake up at 5 or 6 a.m. because that’s when I’m the most productive. To do this, I have to go to sleep before 11 p.m. Keep your bedtime in mind, too. (I know I sound like your mom, but it is vital.)
Don’t wake up earlier than you need to. Make use of your most productive times and only wake up early enough to not feel stressed as you get ready for the day.
Coffee & Tea: Life’s Energy
I’m Colombian, which means I grew up drinking coffee. Black coffee. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. However, I have actually noticed that I feel more energized when I stop drinking coffee entirely. Now, I drink tea and warm lemon water instead, which I find more refreshing.
Figure out what foods and drinks energize you in the morning and which slow you down.
I also make sure that I read the Bible or at least listen to a Christian playlist to start my day off right.
Sleep Well • Wake Up Refreshed • Stay Positive
Make the most of the day God has given you.
