Share the love by helping someone else relieve stress.
Sometimes it helps to focus your attention on helping others. We become overly fixated with our own problems and there are little kind gestures we can do for the people we love.
You can give a care package to a family member, a friend, a roommate, and even a stranger for that matter.
Creating the Gift
- Favorite snack
- Encouraging notes
- Face mask
- Tissues (Try puffs lotion tissue because they deserve it!)
- Bath bombs
- A good book (to borrow or to keep)
- A cactus
- A Mini scented candle
- Song recommendation
Use one, some, or all of the items listed. These are just suggestions.
We often focus on the negative parts of our life, but it is good to show appreciation for the people in our lives. It also feels good to be acknowledged! Make someone’s day, bring them joy, and share happiness.
Being less self-focused helps with preserving a good mindset and reducing stress.
Making a care package can be an art project!
The Brown Paper Bag: Your best friend
I make my own envelopes by folding brown paper bags and I make my boxes by using old shoe boxes and also covering them with brown paper bags.
- Draw on the bag.
- Write a motivational quote.
- Write their name elegantly or using fun lettering.
- Tie their favorite flower onto the box with ribbon.
- Write a checklist guide telling them how to relax (i.e. Step 1: Use face mask).
I encourage you to find a friend who is really stressed and give them a heartfelt gift. I can even be a handmade card. If you are on a budget, this gift basket can be as small or large as you want it to be.
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”Ephesians 4:32
