How to not: Doubt and Negativity

Why is it that we doubt our decisions? We slip into negativity when there is so much light in our lives.

I wrote this post to encourage you to keep trying. It takes time and effort to focus on the good, but it is so worth it.

Even in our darkest day, there is still light.

“The darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.”

1 John 2:8

There is ALWAYS light.

I’ll be honest. I used to be a very negative person. Life was hard, and I decided to only focus on the bad. I called it being realistic. I wasn’t realistic, I was negative. Reality includes the good and the bad.

I still experience pain and suffering, but I am positive now because I have a relationship with God and have actively chosen to focus on the good more than the bad.

It was difficult at first, but it is so rewarding and now it is a habit in my life.

I am still realistic. I acknowledge things that are happening. But I know when to move on, when to stop focusing on the bad, and when and how to be thankful for the good in my life, no matter how seemingly insignificant.

Bring it to God!

I also make my decisions after bringing everything to God, at least I try to. Not doubting my choices and values has allowed me to stand strong in how I have chosen to live my life.

My life has felt so much more peaceful. I am not performing or changing for the world. I am following God’s path for my life.

I pray that you learn to search for the good in your life. And if you have trouble finding the good, then turn your suffering and pain into something good by helping others in the same situation.

We can help others better when we fully understand how they are feeling and what they are going through.

If you can’t find the light, be the light.

I would love to know if this is a struggle you have! Let me know how you feel about the topic.
