Make your mornings work for you!
If you don’t set your day up the right way, you can become frustrated during your day. I’m going to tell you what I do. Everyone is different so tweak my routine to fit your life!
On a good day I will wake up at 5…that doesn’t always happen to be completely honest.
Start your day when it is best for you.
First things first! I make my bed. If I do nothing else productive in the day, at least I made my bed. Cherish the little victories.
After brushing my teeth and taking a shower, I make tea. Shocker, I know. Then I make and eat a healthy energizing breakfast.
After I get the basics out of the way. I sit on my couch, play an instrumental Christian playlist, and either pray, worship, or just read the Bible.
I have found that I am so much calmer if I start my day with God. Even if I only have 5 minutes, I do my best to posture my heart. I get less frustrated during the day and to be honest, I handle difficult situations with more grace and peace. I am simply a better version of myself.
And sometimes I just sit and listen to what God has to tell me. Sometimes He even tells me which friends I need to check on.
I get work done better in the morning so I will start to do homework or work at this point in my routine.
Keep your routine simple.
After getting my work done, I start to get dressed and ready for the day.
One of the most important things is giving yourself enough time to breathe. Don’t run to work, stroll to work.
No one wants to be the person who ran to work and sweat through their best suit or broke their heel in the process.
Look your best, feel your best, and be your best.
And if work stresses you out beyond belief, remember God has placed you where you are for a reason. Take your stressors and give them to God. Take your challenges, pray, and then turn them into something good.
Appreciate the little victories. And if it all gets to be too much. Take a walk and ask God to guide you and give you the peace and grace you need to handle each situation well.
Good luck my friends! Have a great week and try to be a blessing in someone else’s week too.
